Just four more pixtures to go in my 2017 Fill the Frame series.... time to start thinking about a theme for next year.

One of favorite subjects at the Zoo is the Hippo.

Pixtures of this creature tend to be boom, bust or even nothing at all.

There are many times when I pass by this exhibit only to find it empty.

And many times when I am presented only with a backside.... which is definitely not her best side.

But when you do get a pixture to keep.... you can be assured that if will be rich with texture and detail.
